The firm of Lambert & Nelson, PLC has handled numerous product liability claims involving defective equipment and/or products.
The firm acted as co-lead counsel in a nationwide class action involving Cooper Tire & Rubber Company, with the firm having ultimate responsibility for liability and causation issues in the case. The Cooper Tire litigation resulted in a resolution valued by the Court in excess of one billion dollars in benefits for customers.

The firm was also involved in class actions throughout the United States regarding defective electrical “push-in” receptacles manufactured by three defendant corporations. The litigation involved receptacles that Lambert & Nelson, PLC argued were defective and allowed for a reduced contact area between the electrical wire and the metal contacts inside the outlet, which increased the resistance and consequently the heat of the electrical wire and outlet. The increased heat in turn would cause the contact to further deteriorate and cause arcing between the outlet and electrical wire, creating an extremely dangerous fire hazard due to the intense heat of an electrical arc, which can be so hot that it can melt and spray molten copper in a split second. Lambert & Nelson, PLC was able to negotiate a settlement with the defendants out of court.
